Interim Report
Interim report on the Stockholm module of the 2005-2007 European Leadership Development Programme (EuLDP) for ophthalmologists
In total, 15 participants from 11 countries (see below) took part of the 3-day course held April 3-5, 2006 at the Karolinska Institute, Stockholm, Sweden.

The module included lectures, study visits, practical case studies and interaction with real-life politicians when simulating funding requests for ophthalmic care (see attached programme).
The evaluation was very favourable (see attached evaluation) and in particular, the participants appreciated interaction with real-life politicians and the sessions on advocacy.
The next module is scheduled for San Francisco, CA in January 2007 when the participants will meet their American and Pan-American counterparts. The participants have been requested to initiate a small project by April 2007. Three of these projects will be selected for oral presentation at graduation in conjunction with the 2007 SOE Congress in Vienna, Austria.
