The 1st Congress of Montenegro Ophthalmologists combined with the 12th Congress of South-Eastern Ophthalmological Society(SEEOS) took place in Budva, Montenegro, Oct 15-18, 2015.
The meeting was a huge success with more than 300 delegates from 21 countries. In addition this was the first international ophthalmology meeting in Montenegro since independence. SOE Outgoing President Stefan Seregard addressed the Congress at the Opening Ceremony as well as giving a keynote lecture on uveal melanoma. MarkoHawlina, SOE Director of Education also attended and spoke on emergencies in neuro-ophthalmology and was responsible for organising a YO session on residency education.
