Ivan Borjan, Grant report, Oslo University Hospital

I had the incredible privilege of spending time at Oslo University Hospital’s Eye Department under the mentorship of Professor Goran Petrovski, one of Europe’s leading vitreoretinal surgeons and eye scientists. This experience has been transformative for my professional development – not only did I significantly enhance my vitreoretinal surgical skills, but I also grew tremendously as a researcher.
The opportunity to learn from such an esteemed expert in the field, combined with the collaborative environment at Oslo University Hospital, made this a truly enriching and enjoyable experience. I’m grateful for the knowledge gained and the connections made during my time in Oslo, and I look forward to applying these new skills and insights in my continued work in ophthalmology.
I would like to express my sincere gratitude to the European Society of Ophthalmology for awarding me the SOE Resident Educational Grants. This exceptional opportunity allowed me to spend valuable time at the Oslo University Hospital Eye Department, where I significantly enhanced my ophthalmology and scientific research skills.
I am deeply thankful for the support and trust placed in me.
