Tatjana Topalović, Croatia observership report from the Rotterdam Eye Hospital, The Netherlands

I spent my observership at the Glaucoma Department of the Rotterdam Eye Hospital in Rotterdam, The Netherlands.
In those 4 weeks, I learned a lot in the field of glaucoma. I would especially like to thank Dr. Liu, my supervisor. She introduced me to other colleagues and organized my schedule in a way that allowed me to spend some time with and learn from all of the specialists. They were all very kind, selflessly sharing their knowledge with me, answering all of my questions and providing me with useful advice. Furthermore, I also appreciated the kindness demonstrated by the optometrists, residents, medical staff in the operating room and administrators. My overall experience in this hospital was great and I would highly recommend to everyone interested in glaucoma to apply here, as the experience allows to gain insight into a whole range of complexity the doctors here deal with, starting from regular follow-ups to complex surgeries. All in all, I am very grateful for the opportunity to meet and learn from these great experts.
