UCL Institute of Ophthalmology and Moorfields move online learning resource

In an effort to bring world class teaching and  cutting edge research to as wide an audience  as possible, UCL’s Institute of Ophthalmology and Moorfields Eye Hospital have come together to create a new digital resource. ‘Retinal Disease: Latest Methods in Diagnosis and Treatment for Clinical Practice’ is an up to date set of clinical guidelines and studies that aims to improve the knowledge and skills of ophthalmologists, doctors and allied health professionals worldwide.

This unprecedented resource sharing is part of an attempt by Course Leaders Dr Oren Tomkins-Netzer and Professor Sue Lightman to improve global standards of eye care.

Professor Lightman “There’s a danger that we take access to the best teaching and resources for granted. Across the world, doctors are working in eye care without specialist equipment or training because of local conflicts or economic issues. By making this course available online, we’re hoping to improve outcomes across the world.”

This course is available now on the UCL Life Learning page
