Lala Mammadova, Azerbaijan, Observership report from the Moorfields Eye Hospital, London, United Kingdom

I would like to express my gratitude to the SOE Educational Committee and Professor Marko Hawlina, for awarding me the educational grant for Ophthalmologists-in-training.

Moorfields Eye Hospital is one of the best and oldest ophthalmological centers in the world. I was an observer for 2 weeks at the Medical Retina and Neurophthalmology departments. I would like to thank Prof. Carlos Pavesio for all the new experiences at uveitis and Antony Robson for all ERG lessons. Also, I want to thank Prof. A.Petzold and Prof.James Acheson for all new experiences and knowledge at neuro-ophthalmology. I took part in all teaching days for electrophysiology, medical retina, uveitis, vitreoretinal surgery, etc. From this point of view I may say it was an excellent choice.

I’m certain that the knowledge I acquired will be helpful for my future. I highly recommend this center to SOE Grant awardees.
